If i were to buy a PK 80 or 100 would i be able to put a 50 top end on it? Sorry, i have the mechanical know how of a carrott!

The quick answer's yes, but I reckon you'd have to change to a short stroke crank, you'll need short cylinder bolts if not already fitted, get the primary gears changed for the 50 to be able to use. Down size the main jet or maybe even replace the carb, and it's hit or miss as to whether the exhuast manifold will fit or not, cylinder head cowling for a 50 of course. Plus all the extras like tabbed washers, seals, bearings and gasket sets.
I reckon to keep it legal you'd need to notify the DVLA and Insurance.
If it's a 50cc you want for either for age or to ride without "L's" or CBT, I'd get a modern twist and go, much safer for the road condiions nowadays.

Nice one, thanks. Im looking for a PK or Small framed 50cc for my son. Not really wanting a twist and go would rather he had a geared machine. Having trouble finding a 50 that isnt too expensive. Anything registered as a 50 would be considered..
