Here's what's been eating g up my spare time/cash over the past 9/10 years. Stupidly let the MK2 1600 Sport go a few years ago but still got the Mex. Bought as a bare shell and I built it from the ground up. RS2000 fast road pinto engine and uprated brakes.

Craig, is that Sport the one Brian Pitcher has now? Anyway, watched this last night. You might need to create an account with Channel 4 to view, I'm not sure, and I'd assume it's only available to UK residents so sorry to you fella's outwith our shores. www.channel4.com/programmes/for-the-love-of-cars/4od#3688588

Selling it freed up some cash to get the Mex on the road. I'll give that prog a watch later mate, cheers.

I watched that too, decent programme with some good background info instead of in depth rebuild stuff, though I thought they maybe skipped a bit on that side and could have put more in, especially regarding common faults to look out for.

Tonights episode is about MK1 Landrovers. Will give it a watch but hoping that Glennistar eases back on the Gene Hunt stuff. That was a bit annoying.

Favourite Landy is definately a forward control vehicle or better known as the 1-tonnie when I was in the RAF. Raucous V8 motor sitting almost under yer arse, those things could tackle almost anything, sadly never got to drive one as even back then they were getting prety rare
