Thanks for all the advice from everyone, the scooter arrived yesterday should be perfect for tuning as being a 125 super it has no sidepanel toolbox so can fit a meaty exhuast under there, it also has the sexy "rear wheel around the rear light" carrier, will post some pics when I get a chance!!

spanish super spare wheel carriers.......nice. just can't decide whether to powdercoat or spray mine.
what size number plate's on the spare wheel carrier? I'm thinking it can't be more than 7x7 max or the wheel wont fit over it?

I guess powder coating might be a bit tougher, depends how often you need to take the spare wheel off I guess, because it'll be easy to scratch!
Mine doesn't have a plate on it at the mo' but for a standard smallie I use a 6.5" x 6.5" which fit's the usual mounting plate perfectly, you'd hope this size would fit on the Spanish carriers, hopefully it will!!

I had an other question about the following cilinder.
The 136 Malossi with direct intake on the cilinder. With the Down and forward exhaust, (simonini) 24mm carb kit, HP4 flywheel, digitronic CDI and a full circle crank. ( Racing clutch, short 4th DRT , etc... )
Also a bit expensive to buy new, but how many HP can you expect ?
And will the carburator be sitting on the original spot or somewhere else ? With that direct intake on the cilinder.
Tnx for helping me out !

Alright hollow. here's a useful thread on adspeed tuning a malossi. His bhp for a similar spec to yours was just under 13bhp. BUT he did a load of work to get that figure. (the carb stays in its original position) Motovespa - decided on a colour scheme yet?

Motovespa - decided on a colour scheme yet? I'm kinda tempted to go hotrod style, matt black/grey and primary red wheel rims, not the most original combination ever but should be cheap Taking the frame to get a new floor welded in this weekend, also going to start work on getting a front disc. Still undecided about kit's at the minute too, been looking at the Falcs, M1's and Parmakits on SIP, they all seem to have good and bad points...... They are all damn expensive too so really want to make the right choice!! Am I right in thinking that the Parma is only a single piston ring kit?

Actually I just looked and the M1l looks like single ring too, hmm that makes the falc look a bit better in my eyes......£550! Best get saving!!

Sorry mate, but this frame looks pretty bent if youre judging that from looking at the part the seat sits on compared to the front legshields, then every motovespa frame i've seen is bent - i'm not convinced they knew what they were doing in spain, but i guess the only way is to get it checked on a jig.

Sorry mate, but this frame looks pretty bent I think it might have something to do with whoever tried to fix the floor section previously, the struts underneath are homemade jobbys, I'm getting a new floor put in proffesionally so hopefully that might fix it! I didn't really notice it being bent when looking over it, could also be my dodgy camera work, but may well be worth sending up to the frame jig guy for peace of mind anyway I suppose.

It's been a long time, but here's where I am with this one now, it's not going to be an RB22 eater for the time being because I can't afford any of the sexy kits right now so it's going to be: DR130 (matched) 24 Mil carb Front disc White Pinasco exhaust ;D Yes - I'll pay silly money for one of these! I can't really credit myself with doing any of the work on it so far, most has been done by Slick scooter services in Calne (who I highly reccommend, very good with body work) I did put a floor runnner on though ;D The paint is matched to the original Spanish colour, and is a damn good job. Cheers, Rog

looking good Rog, did you have to change the the lower spare wheel holder fitting in any way to sit flush on the slope of the body?
PS. are you opening up a speedo shop? ;D

Hi Hank, no didn't have to change anything for the fitting of the spare wheel holder, although the number plate part of it has been added using a PX battery holder!
I could probably make one working speedo out of all the broken ones!
