Here's an odd one for you - I've always had this perception that my scooter doesn't sound like other Vespa's. Just sounds different when riding, and being in London there's not really much opportunity to see how it sounds without a helmet on. Anyway, seeing as have been working on it recently and fitted a new exhaust I used my phone to record my journey to work on Friday, just to see how it sounded. I must have listened to the 5 mile journey about 5 times during the day. Was quite relaxing and helped me get on with things by shutting out some noise. Anyone else enjoy the sound of scooters that much? Oh, and on the recording it sounds fine, just sounds different to me when riding. Here's a snippet. I removed the bit where I shout "effing dickhead" at someone looking at their phone not the road! ;D Sound ok to anyone else? soundcloud.com/juancojones/vespa

All engines sound different, every kit, exhaust, even timing/ignition type, flywheel weight, carb will affect the sound your vespa makes.
My standard V90 makes a throaty, sleepy muted putt-putt-putt, my PK sounds like a really rough-running racing car ;D

Can't see the video. Well, I thought I'd expand the "Pictures and Video" section to include audio too All engines sound different, every kit, exhaust, even timing/ignition type, flywheel weight, carb will affect the sound your vespa makes. My standard V90 makes a throaty, sleepy muted putt-putt-putt, my PK sounds like a really rough-running racing car ;D Yeah, understand it's not going to sound exactly like another scooter. Mines always sounded to me more how you described your PK, just that I was surprised how standard it did sound compared to what my ears hear when riding. Saying that, my Leo Vinci (not the snail type) from a few years ago used to sound like a Harley to me when I was riding it

lol I did make it sound worse than it is Just wanted to hear if it was running well and for a while on Friday proved to be good background noise to block out workmates for a bit. I have known people to record traffic for their music projects though!
