It looks like an alien artefact I expect this goes rather fast at ridiculous bhps. I do wonder whether with the carbon frame and the CNC engine it's still a Vespa...

I think the engine is quite ugly.. But its been designed for race use. The rear body goes over the main chassis and again its a race idea for the italian series. Its certainly not your average vespa 90 in the same way as a Honda touring car isn't your average civic. Different worlds and done for a race reason. Matteo tells me the casings were designed by Fabio Begani who is the owner of Scauri's vespa. The barrel is a bsg interpretation of an aprilia RSA. And its making around 45hp.

That looks nuts... would love to see and hear it in the flesh how do the serpentine belts stay on the pulleys at 10,000 rpm or whatever..... Carbon makes a scooter look fast even when its parked up.. any pics of the full exhaust... cool stuff

it looks rank, looks more like a bike engine, moving away from scooter spec or seeing what they can get away with As Tony said, these casings are designed for racing and not for looks. They are practical as you can change the gearbox without having to split the engine etc...

its the racing scene in all most all motor sports that push the boundary's of what can be achieved.just like the japs did with 2 stroke back in the seventies when they dominated the GP scene which then filtered down into production models.the only thing is the domestic 2 stroke scene of late is a little stagnant due to ever increasing emmission restrictions so the gap bettween what we have in the show room and the track is ever increasing esspecialy when we only have smally's that are no longer in production
