i have a 210 engine laying around as well as a nfk bolt on reed block so was just wondering whats the best crank pound for pound or is it possible to cut and flow a standard crank for reed valve also what about stroker cranks ?? i will probably sell this once done so not looking for to much to be spent on it as i have got to it it re-plated

In the US, we have a great tuner named Hot Rod Al who takes cranks and reprofiles them. He can reprofile a rotary crank into a reed valve lipped crank, so I know people do them. Worb5 does it too, but less care goes into their crankshafts from SIP (there are models they don't even split!). The Malossi works best with a 57mm stroke.

The Malossi works best with a 57mm stroke. yea i have heard of hot rod al before but cant recall where.what are my options with porting is there any significant gain in welding/opening the transfers out i have noticed that the barrel dosent have that much gasket face to work with.

I think he's doing it for around $220, including the japanese con rod.
I've got a Tameni P200 shaft sitting on my shelf that I'll be sending him for my P210 project.

you supply the crankshaft.
most people send their original piaggio cranks unless the key ways are all mangled. I happen to have a tameni shaft on the shelf and an original piaggio crank with dubious keyways.
