As the title says. I've bought second hand rally 200 casings that have been ported for malossi. The carb inlet also looks widened. I dont remember seeing a gap before on other engines like whats shown on the photos below. I might be wrong. Anyone help? Rally 02 – 63 Rally 02 – 64

You'll need to go Reed valve with them Davie.
Out of intrest where did you get them? I had a set for a PX200 like that about 6 years back from a Dude in Ayrshire, he says he bought them like that but it could've been a shaggy dog story.

Hi Davie just a note, before you start assembly it would be wise for you to get the crank split and have the webs chamfered on the inner edges 45% and put a slight chamfer on the outer edges to otherwise your going to suffer servere inlet restriction..... all my reed cranks ive assembled over the years ive had machined for maximum inlet flow Unable to put up pictures im affraid...

No bother. Hope it works. Unusual for a product like this to exist that no-ones heard of.

Reed block works a treat. Ticking over nicely & quite responsive to the throttle. Nice to see a standard carb not spewing petrol back out. Do a test drive in a couple of weeks - scoot needs MOT & tax first . . .
