Got me a ContourROAM HD helmet camera for Christmas. Made this little movie of my commute this morning... quite fun to watch the action replay ;D
Hot riding-on-pavement action:
Getting some speed up:
Crossing Waterloo bridge:
(Before someone says, the idle is high 'cos I ain't sorted the idle jet out properly yet)

around 18:30 you are being passed by a guy on a pushbike.
Have you tried setting idle with the idle screw? There are two screws on the carb, one is mixture, the other idle. Which one have you been turning?
And no, I didn't watch it completely.

Well I wouldn't have expected you to ;D i was more interested in showing off the quality of the camera for anyone interested in one... it's half the price of a GoPro HD. And never understimate the power of some of the militant cyclists' thighs in London Also pushbike man can get through gaps I can't so I was slowing down behind the rider in front, cyclist was looking for a gap to elbow through. As for idle - I know the thumbscrew is the idle screw. At the moment the revs are staying high for a while after returning throttle to idle, but end up at a good idle. If I take the idle screw out any further it's fine in those 10 secs but then drops down and stalls. If I take the mixture screw out 4-5 turns it's okay but I'd rather get a larger jet. Just waiting for a delivery of jets to get it sorted this weekend and all will be fine.

That is very good quality video ! Very clear, gunner have to google the cam as I have a birthday coming up ! I got mine from eBay from the US, as it's £150 in the UK and $150 in the US! Didn't get charged any import fees so it worked out pretty cheap contour.com/products/contour-roamThis is how it fits:

what was your top/average speed jimmy? Not sure I should say.... all those roads are 30mph :/ (skip to exactly 12:50 and pause....) I actually have an app on my iphone that measures your time and speed via GPS and tells you averages etc, I'll turn it on on the way home...

I love how ya jumped in front of that copper at 6:28ish. Try that shit in America and see what happens! Lane splitting is actually illegal over here except in California. I think there's a bill on the table about right now though. It would be nice to not have to worry about it and I'd get where I was going a lot faster as the traffic in Dallas sucks.

Looks and sounds good! Can't believe you rode with your visor open, must've been what, 2 degrees C?? Nice and confident in traffic though! I'd never ride in London, pure madness! Bristol and Bath are shite enough!

Yeah, London is quite scary. He's got bigger balls than me, going up the inside at that speed...

Good quality vid, interesting journey you have into work, thought the scoot was performing good too. Shoulder checks and life savers Jimmy

Yeah, just to address the violations issue, I passed my full test in October (1 minor!) and learned the "right way" to do everything, sadly that just doesn't cut it in London. If you're the only bloke doing everything right, you get to work a few hours after everyone else...
...and yeah, visor open is just me being lazy. It's freezing, but as i wear glasses as soon as i stop they mist up if the visor is down, which panics me, so i'd rather just have a cold nose!

great quality vid that, nice and stable, how heavy is it on the helmet Jimmy? You can't feel any difference at all when it's on, and it's about the weight of an iPhone as a unit. I videoed the return journey tonight but attached the camera to the front mudguard... will upload tomorrow for some 20cm-from-road action ;D

The return journey... this time with the cam mounted on the front mudguard ;D
Turns out the mudguard vibrates a fair bit at speed, so things go a bit blurry over 30mph... but a cool angle, always seems a lot faster when you're that close to the ground!
