So this p200 has an after market stator and it is a pre 1979 with 2 yellow wires the single purple powers the headlight it puts out too much and is blowing bulbs ..
I was thing of just taking off about 10 wraps of wire off the coil...

Tried it yet? It's a $8 fix from most any auto parts store. If your stator IS kicking out enough juice to blow more than 100 watts... Take advantage of that shit! ;D Who says it's a problem? Maybe it's the potential for a really awesome accessory. Maybe you should wire up as many accessory lights as you can... Or get a really big rectifier/battery/inverter to power an enormous stereo amplifier/cigarette lighter/gaming system! ;D

fwiw the early p2 stators didn't use a regulator on the headlight circuit. but when you get a replacement stator it's, as near as i can tell, a new px stator wired up to work for this model. so, yeah, you'll blow bulbs. an easier solution is to get a small 12v regulator from scooterjerks and wire it in line. easy. or rock that 100 watt-er.

Took off 20 wraps of coil wire its much better now might take off some more if needed, I was going to regulate it but it really didn't need to... And I have enough copper wire to fix a real old tattoo machine I have been meaning to fix ...
