well on my shuch off a buget dont be hoping much good but here goes.... malossi 136 whith opened up transfers within the barrel but not the crancase (yet) - ports at 188/ 142?(think its 142 but may be lower/higher) slighly better than standard crank redd valve to barrel ofc, of a tzr 85 or a ttr 85, 28mm Stage6 PWK geared to do 70 in 4th at about 9000 revvs i think mabye more though (mabye more revvs) - it was my brother who did the gearing when he had it malossi clutch 4 plate the pea shooter is a simoni reverse and its a bit shit haha - it is definatly THEE limiting factor spotted that it hadnt sealed somewere today properly and id forgot to put a gasket somewere, i know why its not sealing though so all in parts again hopefully it will seal this time it will do for now but when ive done uni and got a steady job its guna be remade ;D

The port times should match the other port times and your target engine speed. Since I guess your target speed is somewhat lower than say 21 903rpm I'd say 142 is slightly over the top. Remember that the time between the opening of the exhaust and the transfer ports is aptly called blowdown? That's because it's the time there is for the high pressure above the piston to blow down before the transfers open. If your transfer open before the pressure has gone down enough there's a good chance the pressure will force the fresh charge down the transfers, which is pretty much the opposite of what you want. There are a few other drawbacks besides that, suffice it to say that, to my knowledge, there's no modern engine whith over 140, actually I'd even say over 135 even. Modern engines do not include Zirri's sometimes weird contraptions. He seems to believe that 145-210 are cool port times for a two stroke. But then he also believes that his MR2000 smallframes make over 30 BHP at just under 20 000Rrpm and reach a topspeed of 120 mph easily.
One more thing maybe: I'm quite sure that you don't need over 130 on a Malossi, not even for an engine designed to make 30 BHP.
