Right so half term is here and its back to working on the 50. After 4 different stator plates from Beedies I eventually exchanged them for original Vespa parts and guess what, spark first time . Although I was pissed off and have lost loads of time they did change them without any hassel. So engine back in and ready to kick over, except the kickstart again keeps slipping. Engine back out, clutch off and try again, still kickstart slips, now getting very pissed off So get my other engine on the bench and have ended up stripping them both down and gonna change the kickstart gear from my DR into the 50 and see what happens. Will keep you posted.

Nice one Rich, that scoot looks really good. I would have done one thing different and that is paint the fork the standard grey, it's gonna shit dirty very quickly...but that's me.. Otherwise looks top draw! Kickstart....Hmmm...Have you checked your clutch cable isn't too tight, thereby permanently engaging the clutch? Is it just jump slipping or does it feel like you're cutting through a thick chocolate brownie? ;D J

Hi guys, Def not the clutch. The kickstart gear seems very worn on both engines so think it was slipping off the xmas tree due to the very high compression. Bought two new gears for both my engines so will strip, fit and rebuild AGAIN when I get some time, looks like its gonna be next year now but bank account as now recovered from my projects so no panic to get them finished or sold Cheers for all the positive comments and help

Hi Guys, had this project sitting in my garage since 2011, just got bored and so never finished it. It's a V90 but has 50 cc on log book as the previous owner must have re registered it to ride at 16. I have the V5 and might change it back to V90. Anyway decided to finish off the last few bits and have her MOTed and ready for the road about Easter time. Looking for around £1600, which is way less than she has cost me to rebuild and is full of new parts from bearings, cables to loom, 12v electrics tyres and seat + loads more. Have a chip on the panel i need to get repaired as a large spanner fell on the panel and made a chip about 5mm square. Has five stud hubs front and rear with brand new tyres and a 125 top end with four gears (only three on the handle bar as it is originally a V90.
As i said I'm happy to get it on the road and have it up for sale for Easter, but if anyone has the time and wants to finish it I'm open to offers. Have everything to finish her but will Needs light switch and headlight wiring in, carb fitting and an MOT. V5 present
Regards Rich
Also have a rare Nuova in bits but everything there and already powder coated pillow box red. again loads of new parts with a 130 DL top end, but engine in bits. V5 present.
