lets have your thoughts on cost effective exhausts. Unless you're spending £150+, the choice seems to boil down to the following: Sito £30-£35 Banana (et3) £50-£60 Leo Vince LH side £45-£60 Polini LH Side £45-60 the banana also comes in a nice chrome version - circa £90 SIP. Once you've bought your new top end/carb/upgear/clutch, you can't always justify a PM40, Evo, etc so what results do you think you get both in terms of looks and power by getting one of the above.

Personally mate, I'd opt for the Leo out of the above choices

I think any of them would be *okay* save for the shito plus Got a leo on mine, not that impressed but it may be the gear ratios (have I mentioned that before )

Hank - you interested in a leo vince l/h? ;D you fobbing off your old underperforming exhaust on me, Jim? yeah, probably am interested ;D taken from scooter center, koln, site: The LeoVinci exhaust is our secret tip. High performance for little money make this exhaust the right choice. Unfortunately it is not that quiet.. The LeoVinci spoils higher number of revolutions than the Polini and is especially suitable for high performance cylinders. Much fun for a low price! The Polini is a very good exhaust for all needs, which does not only convince concerning the price, but also with its very pleasant sound. It is suitable for almost any kind of cylinder. Especially Polini cylinders run very nice with this exhaust. A broad number of revolutions volume with low noise characterize the exhaust. Much fun for a low price!!! The so-called banana exhaust for the Smallframes lies somewhere between inconspicuous original exhaust and high performance exhaust. The banana offers good performance with full torque from low numbers of revolutions. This means it is rather suitable for long distance engines than for high performance engines. But even with a 133ccm Polini cylinder this exhaust runs very well.

Watch out for those SS/ET3 systems from SIP etc, they could well be Sito copies.

Got a Polini as above fitted to a PK50 kitted with a Polini 112 kit, innocent phone call to my insurance company to tell them I'd upgraded the scoot. Lady at other end of phone ask me if the exhaust was road legal, I said I think it was ? she said she'd have to speak to another department and will ring me tomorrow. Is the polini for off-road only?, paid £60 for it and just assumed it would be ok. Passing an MOT with this type of exhaust is another question. Rob

I would recomend Ebike insurance if your wanting to tell them all about your upgrades... It's all done online and they just ask how much performance %wise the manufacturer claims.. I have provisional licence and have told them all about upgraded air filter, inlet, brakes, Exhaust >5, and forks and it cost me £12 more than the original quote......

Thats because it's a 50cc ;D ;D i blame scooterboys from the 80's, nearly every primmy/et3/pk got changed to 50cc, as well as 50% of lambo's downgraded to 125cc ;D those were the days........

Insurance company ring up today and says thats ok, as long as its clear that they will only replace with standard. I ask how much extra I've got to pay and am told nothing. Wonder if it's because it a "classics" policy and I don't accumulate any no claims discount.

In the 80's I wrote my pk50 off and with the insurance money I bought a sx200 and registered it as a 50 as I had passed my car test before my bike test (only cos my dad paid for it!)
