Hi, guys!
Finally got myself a great little 50 Spesh, but it's a particularly nasty shade of cream, so I wanted to know what colours they originally came in, what the closest I can find to these colours are at the moment, and any samples of said colours might be good, too! Thinking of respraying it, is all.
Just an afterthought, what makes the 50 Specials special, besides the rectangular headlamp?
Cheers, folks! ;D Oli

I'm a big believer in painting a colour you like as opposed to a "correct" colour. Off the top of my head the Special was available in several shades of blues, reds, yellow, green, orange and white. No doubt I've forgotten a few. This is a personal favourite of mine.

The spesh is probably one of the smalls with the most choice of color. This guys here seem to have a good database, just search for your model/vin number and it'll come up with the year it was built and the colour option. ..and don't be scared of italian language, I'm sure u can wiggle your way round the site. Just an afterthought, what makes the 50 Specials special, besides the rectangular headlamp? Various details. 4 gears and different primary to start with, then the horncast, "new shape" back lamp, 10 inches wheels, 16/12 carb. That should be it.
