Always loved the T5, I remember being a 15 year old lad watching the older crew pull wheelies up and down our high st annoying the fuck out of all the old dears ;D it will always be the XR31 or the scooterworld for that reason Piaggio missed a trick by not continuing with its development though you can see its influence in the early auto barrels off the skipper and hexagon

The MK1 T5 is the only P range I'd own, got a real soft spot for them even with the dodgy handling.

Restored one of those, a white one. I like em the ugly things they are . Lovely barrel.. the best ever production barrel ever produced for a vespa or lambretta.

My T5 had 30k on the clock when i got it and i put a fair few more on it.I then had it tuned and eventualy the little end in the conrod started to go oval as it was worn but i didnt realise at the time.It started to make this horrible rumbling noise and i still rode it to Exmouth from Oxford and was still caning it at over 8500rpm and it still made it home then i stripped it and was shocked how bad it was but was still running.
