i was just wondering if norrie still tunes or works at msc,as you really dont hear about him much nowadays. iv looked on the scooter sport forum alls quiet about him really i knew he had alot to do with malossi but did he ever make a road going kit for small frames???as i know webbo did for lambrettas + exhausts. it would be nice to know whats he thinks of the kits today like the new falc and could he ever beat it on his own racer lol. i think scootering done a peice on him a long while back, but he seems to be under the radar since hes finished racing.
this ones for TONY what do racers do with there old race scooters do you keep doing up your old ones each year, like one frame 2/3 engines????or visa versa.

Norrie left MSC years ago to set up VE spares. I think he's also the head of Malossi UK and Polini UK. As far as I'm aware he can't be arsed getting his hands dirty these days other than working on his own bikes.

I keep in touch with Norrie. He is well aware of the current kits and tuners etc. His Lc1 was way ahead of its time but we have had 25 years of two stroke development since then. Port flow ideas have changed dramatically. He is the head of the Bsso as well as the Md of Ve spares. I think only a few months ago there was an article written by him about an American vespa trip he did. As for "what do we do with our bikes" well, Norrie has all his... and my green one is on this link davedaniel.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=racing&action=display&thread=1954Unused engines still linger..I'm trying desperately to get my mind into selling some! I just cant seem to do it. Something to do with knowing how much effort went into them I think.

Yeah green one is the one in all the pics. I've had this bike since 86 or 87. On here racer wise we have Steve Pollit (ste15) racing a 90ss with the new M1r quattrini in it. We have John Woods (teamwoodspeed) on another Charlie Edmonds Falc in it and hopefully Adspeed (adam) on his Falc 50 special who'll be out this year I hope. Have a look at the racing section to see some pics.

I'll tell you a story about the collection of that bike too.. Now being how rare it was even back then I spoke to the fella after the deal was done for me and agreed the price and paid by cheque without even seeing the bike. I hired a van. Got me mate to drive as i was only 17 and we headed north. Got to preston about 10 am after sleeping a few hours a service station and headed for the house. I knocked on the door and the fellas mum said.."oh he's not here at the moment. He's on community service( )... but the bikes in the garden!" Concerned now I walk arounf the back... there lies a cut up p-range frame in the garden. My heart sank..thinking of the £240 quid or so I'd paid for the 90ss.. "oh she says, it must be in the shed.." The door opens and inside this slightly tatty but complete 90SS ... spirits soared once more.. I swear to you all the way home that bike was talking to me.."thank you for saving me!" I kept checking it was there in the van as I still didnt believe it was there and it was mine!

He was the guest of honor at Amerivespa and he was a nice guy to have a quick chat with. Everybody loved watching him in the gymkhana which he did quite well in. Eric
