I've been lurking around the forum for a while now and thought it was about time I introduce myself. My name is Steve Hughes and I'm a Brit (grew up in N. Wales) living in Portland, Oregon... USA. Last year I acquired quite a tidy Vespa 100 Sport that spent most of it's life in Southern California with just 3060 miles on it. The frame has a couple of very minor dents and just a little surface rust here and there. The plan for this scooter is to do a complete rebuild including paint (removing the nasty turn signals and rear light the US Gov. forced Vespa to ruin the smallframe lines with), an ET3 4 speed box, DR 130 ported kit and Polini exhaust etc. So far I have the scooter stripped and am currently working on removing the dents and rust and prepping the frame for paint while I wait for engine parts to arrive. So far I have learned a great deal from the forum and appreciate the speedy answers I have got from a couple of questions. Also seems like there's a decent sense of humour around here too which is great! Here's some photos for ya. If anyone is interested in my progress I would be happy to start a thread in the Projects area. Cheers:
