Hello everyone. I am 16 and bought my first scooter in summer last year. its a pk50s with a dr110 kit. I Siezed it in december and have had it rebuilt and i am currently looking at the gearing. it currently has the stock ratios which gives me a max at about 40mph. What ratios do you reckon to get a bit more in the top end? any help would be much apreciated

22/63 with a four speed box is pretty standard on 90 to 110 cc.
this will also drop the revs a bit if you are still on a short stroke crank.

Hi Found below from an old thread in 2017 , as Steve says 22/63 was recommendation from all on hear although I had a few issues . You shouldnt have any issues as I had 22/63 on my old PK50S with Malossi 112 ( still short crank ) , hit about 50 MPH from memory
Hi I had similar kit on my jap 50S , started with recommended which from memory was either 22/63 (2.86) or 24/72 (3.00 )
Either way 4th gear was useless unless traveling at full speed in 3rd down hill with the wind behind you before attempting 4th !
On advise from others with Japs understand they have a much longer 4th than all the other Vespa 50 models , settled on 18/67 (3.72)
High reving but good through all the gears and 4th tops out at about 50 , only slight downside is you wont be in first gear much as the revs pick up quick and you'll be in second before you know it.

I used the 22/63 gears out of a pk100 on a pk50s engine i rebuilt that had the DR102cc kit on it. 19mm carb and manifold from a pk125 as well.
