woah its like coming home !!!! i thought this forum got deleted ages ago as i couldn't find it for a while, thank god im home !!So after about 6 years took the vespa v90 out on a run on monday and in true italian style, it broke down, ive since found the HT lead is burnt through. so we have changed that today, we are getting a spark off the body, we are getting petrol, it just flatly refuses to start, does anyone think the HT lead burning through could have damaged the coil ? its just odd we are getting a spark. ive ordered a new coil, points, and condensor from allstyles but just wondered if i should be looking at anything else ? i really want to get it back on the road if possible.

Maybe the flywheel woodruff key has sheared and the spark is happening at the wrong time.

Its probably worth giving the carb a clean as well. If its been sat for 6 years you could have blocked jets.
