I had exactly the same problem. Didn't have a welder to hand and didn't want to spend money and some thing like above post as it would probably be never used again. so this is what I did which you can give a go first, however there is some degree of being lucky here so don't kick me if it does not work for you. Firstly and hopefully you have a decent socket set? 1 - select a socket which fits inside the stuck outer bearing ring, don't want it being a tight fit, slight wiggle room. 2 - buy a decent quality Araldight 50/50 mix glue (not the pound land shit) 3 - Clean the socket & inner face of the stuck bearing ring. 4 - mix decent amount of glue and apply to outer face of socket and inner face of stuck bearing ring and push it into the stuck bearing ring. 5 - Wait a couple of hours to properly harden. 6 - get a hot air gun or gas burner (which I used) and heat up the casing as you would normally do when fitting bearings. 7 - when nice and hot, turn casing over fit the socket extension bar and give it a sharp heavy bash using a club hammer and hopefully it should punch it out of the casing. this worked perfectly for me. bit if cleaning of your socket to do after.
give it a go, only need to buy glue let me know if it worked.good luck!!!!!
