Make sure flywheel is torqued up properly to stop it happening again.

Woodruff key snapped, so it's put your timing out, cheap and easy to replace. really? how, i thought it was the full crank i would need to swap? or am i wrong

No mate it's a cheap and simple fix, nothing wrong with yr crank. Woodruff key sharing off is more common on large frame Vespa's especially if tuned and original heavy flywheel kept. Not so common on small frames but some do keep a spare in the tool kit when on long runs. Like previous post make sure fly wheel is nice and tight as that might have been the cause. Bloody hell must be somewhere you can get one cheaper than yr e-bay link. I haven't looked but try Beedspeed or Readspeed. Problem is postage will most likely be more then the W/R key. Maybe purchase a coil bracket at the same time as your coil is bolted to the frame and should be attached to the engine casing via the missing bracket. Other than that do you have a local dealer you can get one from over the counter or phone Readspeed and ask if they could pop it in an envelope with just the stamp cost, they are pretty good. should be penny's to buy really.

Great pic, not personally into the patina look but you have one nice straight scoot there. Looks like some money has been spent on a seat and indicators etc Don't think you would have any trouble selling as a perfect base for some one looking for a project.

well done mate!! sounds sweet, worth buying the coil bracket otherwise your coil would be bouncing the opposite way to the engine which the wires linking the two and would cause issues. keep the patina look, very different to the norm. happy days

After you mentioned it a while back, about putting original lights back on, today I did and your right looks better not really the original ones but new versions I had in the shed from a while back.
