Good Morning everyone, so for the 1st time us South Africans have a local tuning option with out having to import our self. One of my mates has now got the Agency for Polini in South Africa and so I want to do a little to my scooter but want to know before I buy if certain of the parts are maybe a little overkill.
I have a Primavera engine VMA2M with stock crank, DR130 top end standard 19/19 carb with Malossi filter and a SIP road banana exhaust standard points ignition. it feels good as a fun running bike but was keen to add a little to her.
1. Polini Electronic Ignition... was also considering the VAPE variable but with this option here in the country already what do you guys think 2. Polini Evolution Clutch... I am currently running a standard clutch, newfren plates with a slightly stiffer spring, it has been okay with some drage occasionally when pulling off hard BUT in general not bad but would this be a nice upgrade 3. Polini CP21 Carb... as explained I have a stock 19/19 at the moment but with this DR kit would it be worth the upgrade to the CP21 or would it be a waste with this kit. 4. Polini Evo Cylinder kit (Cast iron barrel)... so I also have a vespa 100 engine I am looking at doing up a little, would you compare this top end to the DR130 with maybe a little more oomph. No longer looking at flying machines just something FUN to ride.
Any advice on the above kit would be awesome
thanks in advance

stock crank limits the revs and power you can use without the crank snapping to quite an extent.
nice and cheap would be take 1.5 to 2mm of the DR cylinder top, pack the barrel at the base. raise the exhaust port to about 175 deg open the inlet port on the case. the 1919 carb is a bit limiting so anything a little bigger would help nothing over 24mm do not cut the crank unless you are going to fit an ETS crank or similar and do a little blending. any decent exhaust would also help.
that would be a nice gentle tune
