dodgy switch ,or a connection failing under load , as youve just changed the stator i'd start by checking the connections in the junction box ,H

Which stator have you fitted?

I may have missed it but what scooter is it, 6 or 12v, has it worked previously, did the garage do anything more than replacing the stator. Why was the stator replaced
Have you had the switch off and looked for a loose wire or connection?
Have you checked the wires from the stator are all connected?
Do you have to rev the engine for things to stop working or is it at tick-over?

Could be something as simple as a loose power wire in the switch, and as you ride the vibration causes the light to come on/off.
Does the brake pedal work the rear light if the lights are off at the switch?
