phenominal work! ... that hidden rust damage to the rear chassis under seemingly near perfect paint was just terrifying

Absolutely gorgeous. I don't have the skills do all the work you've done, but I can only hope my '77 Primnmy looks as good when it's restored. As for Ribble Tech...very good, and I guess it's Phil who's the scooterist. However, he may well rib you about soiling his establishment with Vespa parts!!!

Wow, that's a real beauty. If mine looks this good afterwards I will be well chuffed. Ribble Tech do offer a complete dip in anti-corrosion 'paint' after stripping, cleaning and oven drying. I have just e-mailed them myself so your price was interesting as I paid about £30 just for smallframe engine cases. Still, I live in Blackpool, so they are close and they do a good job. Won't be restoring it myself though, don't have all the skills. Oh yes, you have to use the correct type of sealer, any old stuff wont do. Non-silicone rubberised sealer is the only type that really lasts and can take paint OK. Hope you ride it lots, and look after it. By the way, where did you get the seat done?
