I think mines still in the loft, might have a look towards the weekend if i dare go up there and confront the amount of crap we hoard up there. As kids we used to spray hairspray on the track and watch 'em fly.Really difficult as they spin for fun ;D

I've got some I was big into it 25 years ago we had womps & flexie cars and you would go to tracks and pay to race , when I was real little I had some tyco sets that were a blast and 2 years ago I got Carrera GO set of F1 cars I really like those scalexric sets they have some classic sets wonder if those cars will work on the set I have?

but theres always one problem - if you dont slow down at the bends, they just fly off and you have to put them back on!

That's what race Marshals are for the tracks I use to race on cars were doing close to 100mph but sadly most of those tracks have vanished....

so i ended up building this track this week end 20 x 4 ft.... now i just need to buy more cars. ;D ;D ;D semi permanent, i was bored this weekend, its pretty fun, banked corners, and adjustable voltage power supply really gets these cars going......

That's amazing pal, how long before you need to reclaim the space? ;D
My dad dragged all our old Scalectrix out of the loft recently, both my brother and I were fighting over who gets to keep it, just like 25 years ago! Very fond memories of weekends lost turning the sitting room into a racetrack using our parents books to make bridges.
I saw recently that you can get the Batmobile and Ghostbusters hearse as slot cars!

;D i convinced the wife it was temporrary, thats why i used screws to build it, so i can take it down..... ;)man i know what you mean about memorries! thats what possesed me to do this. and the cars are amazing now, upgrade-a-ble to the max, super detailed, and fast! especially when you run them at 14-15 volts. it keeped me busy this weekend, in the summer i have plans to build a propper wood routed track with copper braid. the plastic sets yo get too much clitter clatter, not to mention voltage drops....well see what happens, it could be just a phase.....

Read somewhere you can put a blob of solder on the track joins and it helps to reduce the voltage drops.

I see a baja 5b tucked away Amazing bit of kit but the price is a bit off putting! I have two nitro rush evo's and an E-firestorm, great fun especially in the mud and snow!

definitely, I'm a connoisseur of all that is fun! the buggy is amazing , almost too fast for the brakes that it has!

You will have to upgrade the brakes, on the drift cars you can get disc brakes! I know you can get insane engines for the baja that do over 9HP!!! That's more then my scoot lol. They are great fun

Enjoyed that, all apart from the Audi connection - a calculated and cold blooded attempt to convince people by association that Audi have some kind of soul, which they might have had 30 years ago but they don't anymore
