Well gents, it finally lives got it up and running yesterday having had loads of trouble and nearly a divorce in the process Will get pics of the build and maybe a youtube posted tomorow. thanks to all that have helped out with it, but there is more help needed yet as I am currently running a pk 12v stator, but got 6v lights etc so need to get them swapped out (order being placed tommorrow) how come when you don't touch the electrics at all, come firing it up time, the whole lot is knackered and needs replacing?! just good luck I guess final running in setup is pk bottom end with primmy primaries (cheers max) polini clutch (oh what to go for ) pm40ev dellorto 24mm (needs jetting but runs ok for going slow!!) pk stator with HP4 flywheel M1 borrowed cdi (cheers hank, will get one sorted this week) no lights sounds awesome and pulls well, can't wait to give it some but obviously need to take it easy for 150miles and get jetting sorted before hand. Ad, think I may well take her to see your mate once the running in is done (hopefully by the end of the week if I get time (lights or no lights ))

Jim, The lad who did most of the work (with lots of supervision and tea making) did it. He is quite well known round here for lambwettas but managed to get him to spare some time to do it for me. bit of gunk on the casings then Etch primer (like an acid type primer that eats into the alloy to give better adhesion) and then a bit of fiat red to make it look the same as the old casings ;D Polished up really well, bit of wet and dry to get the dimples out and then an hour or so on the polishing wheel attatched to a drill. they could do with a bit more to be honest but miles are the important thing at the minute

Yeh I know him, nice chap.....
Get it dynoed asap IMO mate. A lot of money invested and another 40-50 quid to get it spot on is well worth it. Ya don't know what its doing if its not jetted correctly......He had one on not so long back it had 15.5Hp with a Hammer copy.

I agree mate, Popped in to pick up some main jets to try (98,100,102) but didn't manage to get to speak to martin as there were a few in who were wanting to talk to him (seems like a busy guy). Spoke to a lady in there who was very nice and quoted me £58 per hour + vat + parts, and said they normally take around 1 1/2 hours to do (think youv'e got a deal going there mate ).... Now Like I say, I agree that I should get it done asa but having just had to fork out another 1er for 12v conversion bits (wish I had gone for the whateveratronic in the first place..), I think the wife wouldn't be anymore if I did it in the near future

Ad, I don't think Tone has ever been married, although he did find out he was a grandad 2 weeks ago!! I can't think of anyone in particular that you are on about though, there are a few I could think of, but not one in particular!!! Like you say mate, whatever takes ya fancy with regards to the dyno, I Will see whats left after our hols, promised the wife we would go and see my Dad in spain this month!!! Ozzy, you know thats the same shit I've been through!! thought I wouldn't have to bother initially, but couldn't get the HP4 to run on the ET3 stator!!!! Anyway, link to youtube for you to have a listen to.. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0lAya-0YC0wStill need to get timing and jetting cock on but just about there I think.. pilot is a little on the large side I think, gonna come down a size or 2, or is it the main .. 70mile done, think I will pop out and get to a 100 shortly, and then I think I am gonna have to wind her out a little just to see what happens ;D ;D

No probs with using a filter mate just not a paper one when your carb spits petrol and oil into it. Reckon a foam one would be better......K&N type paper ones direct on two stroke carbs is a big no no IMO......IMO lose it!
