Hello again. Right, my PK80s dies a few weeks ago. Barrel and piston with some nasty grooves in them Firstly, any recommendations on how I check what size kit was on there? It says DR but nothing else. I've looked at the piston and barrel but quite hard to measure them accurately so any advice on how I identify if it was a DR110 or a DR135 would be welcome. Secondly, I'd like to just to a straight replace of what was on there. If I had a DR110 then I'll put another one of them on, if it was a DR135 then I'll get that. I've been told to just get the 135 kit. However, if the old kit was a 110 I'm worried I'll have problems fitting it. I have a Sito + for a PK50 in there at the moment. Is it true that there's no way this will fit on to the DR 135 unless I modify the stud holes on the exhaust elbow? I've been told this and that I need a PK125 exhaust to go with the DR135. Also, I have no idea what jets are in my carb. If I had a DR110 before and fit a DR135 without adjusting the carb what are the potential problems I'll get with this? Hope somebody can help, desperate to buy the parts to get it going again but don't want to buy the wrong thing. Can't afford a new exhaust again so soon but if I can fit the DR135 I'll go for this and a PK125 crankshaft.

it will be a 130 as the 110 only fits onto the 50 crank, the pk 80 has the same stroke crank as the pk100 and pk125 and as far as i know its the same crank anyway. your exhaust will fit, can you post some pics of the barrel and piston on here and i will tell you for sure

Thanks, so many different opinions around so thought it was time to check with smallframes people here. Will try and post some pics this evening. Anyway, I need a new crankshaft too so in terms of strength would you say I'm best off getting a PK125 crankshaft? And you reckon my PK50s exhaust will definitely fit onto the DR 135 kit? If so that's great! Any carb advice, what happens if I leave as is. Presume I'll just need to do some plug checks after fitting?
Thanks a lot for the help, appreciated!

Quick tip. the 110 has shorter studs with nuts at the bottom of the cyl, but the 135 has longer studs that goes all the way though from the base to the head.

Great, wish I knew that before!!! Will try and post pics tomorrow but looked again earlier and it's definitely got the studs that go all the way through the cylinder which according to your advice means I at last know it's a 135!!!
Thanks!

Right, now you know its a 135, you know why the exhaust was a bugger to fit, the 50 exhaust WILL NOT fit, probally can convert it but isnt worth it when they only cost pennies.

But that's the thing, it DID fit, just wasn't easy getting it on the first time. The 50 elbow fitted perfectly onto the cylinder, just had problems lining the other end of the elbow up to the exhaust itself. Now need to also see what carb I've got in there. It wasn't secured very well whatever it was, moving about quite a lot.
Any ideas why Beedspeed advertise a DR130 kit and SIP a DR135? Are they one and the same?
