I've got a PM40 exhaust and i reckon it runs a bit close to the original mounting place for the cdi (in the toolbox on an et3). Is there a comman place to shift it to cause I can't get a drill in the frame to put holes lower down. I'm thinking next to the inlet hole below the fuel tank?
Cheers,

anywhere in there is ok mate. you could get a 90 degree drill attachment and drill onto the side bit so the bolts come out near original. You could probably even use the original holes for the bracket? think there is room inside.

I'll have to see if I can borrow one of them drill attachments off a mate. I tried putting the cdi on the other side of the holes but it fouls the tank. I'm running out of time cause i booked a ferry for the hellraiser rally in france for early july.

Thanks tony, maybe i'm being paranoid, looked bloody tight though esp when the rear shock compressed. I think it earths through the bolts so i don't mind drilling more holes when i've painted it anyway. cheers,
