hi all, i was going to use a hugger, but then was twiddling my thumbs today (still waiting for my f*cking headset!! only about 6months now), so i thought i'd cut the old v100 mudgaurd off and see what it looks like on the fork... it kind of fits but it does look straight, the seam down the middle doesn't match the center of the tyre.. before i start bending it, is this to be expected? or is my mudgaurd just bent? any tips in getting it to fit nicely??
cheers, ozzy

Hi Ozzy, when I tried to fit the 50 special mudguard on my Pk forks I just couldn't get it right. At the end I bought a fiberglass 90SS from Beedspeed. It fitted almost perfectly, all I had to do was file a little bit around the hole to match the fork. The seam is slightly of center but is hardly noticeable.

i tried fitting a v series mudguard on my pk forks and just gave up! i've seen it done plenty though, some people even cut it down the centre, add a piece and weld up back up. i'd either convert the one youve got to a semi-hugger or go for a sip hugger to start with.

I've done a rally one or two. You have to cut a bit out and be craetive. The fibre glass ss one is bar far easy to fit as max says. Got one on me racer with pk forks.
