finally decided to keep the v100 and do it up(see projects). I will probably have to use it for work and sell my px or lammy. i dont work that far away but have never ridden a smallframe. im about 17 1/2 stone so think i will need a bit more power. i am thinking about getting a 135 kit but dont know if i will need to get a 4 speed box to benefit from this route. would i be better off trying to source a 125 , 4 speed engine.. also are the 135 kits a straight cylinder,head ,piston swap or is porting required..will i retain the standard carb or need a new one.. i have changed barrels ,pistons etc but never rebuilt engines..i havent paid for the px yet so money is a bit of an issue but can probably stretch to a couple of hundred quid on the engine..thanks.Tony

not really bothered about top end, would sacrifice that for acceleration but need to do about 45 ish

you're right, you're gonna be limited by the 3 speed box. depends on how much you want to spend. the cheapest option would be to fit a dr135 kit (matching the ports will help, but you can just bolt on to get a decent increase in power). i presume the std carb is a 19/19, that should be ok, also get a half decent exhaust - leo or polini left hand shouldn't cost more than £40 or £50. you should do more than 45mph with this setup. of course, either getting hold of a 4 speed engine or the internals to upgrade it is the best option

thanks for the reply..how would the standard 100cc engine compare to my px125 for acceleration . the engine was running really well prior to taking it out but i didn,t ride it as the front tyre was flat and the back brake seized..

I have a spare et3 motor (primmy) that i would be willing to sell for the right price.
Polini 130 (ported casings), mazz race crank, SIP 4 plate clutch, lighteneed et3 flywheel and 12volt conversion on stator, with a leo vince pipe, 25phbl manifold. complete motor (just needs a carb) . Great tourqey engine.
