I hope someone can help me!!
My Spanish Primavera is still using the original femsa points setup and was working fine until recently when the bike started to back fire and miss fire. Would run fine on tickover but if revved quickly that's when the bike would backfire/misfire.
I've checked all the things I can, condenser is fine, timing is spot on etc... and I think I tracked it down to being one of the coils on the stator plate, I unscrewed it and then put it back on again and then there was no spark at all, then repeated the procedure again and I got a spark so maybe something is shorting?? Anyway.....
It's difficult tracking down parts for the Femsa ignition but I have a spare V100 Stator plate + flywheel, now is there anyway that I could do a straight swap for the Femsa unit? - My only concern is that the Femsa uses a rectifier and as far as I know the Italian ignition doesn't.
Please help!! These electronics are doing my head in!!

If I remember right mine was wired like an Italian. It did have a regulator, but no rectifier . I think the main loom is like an Italian loom. there was one wire going from the stator, to the reg. and back to the loom.
edit. just had a look at a photo of the old MotoVespa/Femsa loom at the junction box end.. looks identical to a vespa loom. It's plug and play if yours are the same as mine.
