luckily just pulled away from the lights and thought something was up anyway (Strange whirring sound) so was taking it easy, just got into 3rd and then it sounded like the supergharger belt had snapped , in with the clutch and into neutral as soon as, pulled over to the side of the road thinking what the Tried the kickstart, jammed..... Phoned work and told them I wouldn't be back from lunch and pushed just shy of a mile home in the rain... Just had a qucik look and thought the flywheel had come loose so of with the cowl, red paint all over the inside of the cowl, whiped the flywheel off and it all looked good, put it back on and tried to wiggle it, and it wiggles all over the place, looks like the standard weight flywheel on the smallcone mazz crank has taken its toll Oh well, looks like the M1 is now a priority ;D ;D

Shit! What's the weight of the flywheel you are using?

Way too heavy, was the weight!!! Standard ET3 one mate... managed to do 7 thousand miles on it though, so not really that surprised!! Got a new Mazz crank for the M1 but got an HP4 for it and will probably get my standard one lightened. deffo not putting standard weight on again though

I've had that happen in the exact same place before. I was using a lightened ET3 flywheel at the time. I started using 20/20 cranks after that.

I've had that happen in the exact same place before. I was using a lightened ET3 flywheel at the time. I started using 20/20 cranks after that. just a thought , the 20/20 cranks are just as weak the point where Shanes broke (20mm bearing), so why isn't this a problem with 20/20s?

I hadn't really thought of that. Since I switch, I haven't broken my crank. I had previously broke a couple cranks in that spot before. I also stopped using air tools to tighten my flywheel nut. I thought about switching to a 24/25 crank but didn't really like the size of the conversion bearing or seal. I am sure others who are running the 24/25 cranks can shed some light on the conversion bearing/seals longevity.
