Hello all, I have just installed a Polini clutch in a Primmy lump, The operation is very hard, like on/off and no medium. Is this normal, I have just fitted a new spring (standard) and it hasnt helped at all What am I doing wrong, or is this the way they are? Kinda lika a paddle clutch on a rally car, Any thoughts on how to make it lighter, will be tried. Cheers, Lambro.

what cables you useing, the nylon linned cables do really reduce the fruiction and make activation easier, use them on all mine have a 6 plate 10 spring in a lammy and its still easy with the cable.

Using standard cables, plenty of lube, The clutch operates ok when moving, but is just so heavy. All my Lammy's, and my P2 are light.
Maybe, going back to a standard clutch set up will help, I dont remember my old 90 giving any grief.
Cheers.

well the old ones ran ally crown wheel and ally paltes and they both would wear out at the same rate, ally crown wheel and steel plates i thought would wear even quicker. Have a look at the CamLam 6 plate kit and the problems people are having with them.
Try routing the cable as smooth as you can, nylon linned cable and also its poss to use the clutch arm from a PK which is longer so more leverage. Or is it the other way round, either way one is longer then the other. Did this for my mrs when she had a primmy and had problems pulling in even a standard clutch.
