Just polishing up various bits as I wait for the frame to come back from painters - footbrake assembly - I have pulled out the splitpin from the hinging part, the hinging pin however I cant seem to get out. It has a slot at one end for a screwdriver, but is this just to line it up for the splitpin to go back in or is it actually threaded? Have given it a few taps with a punch but no movement and cant turn it witha driver either! Any ideas? Cheers, Tom

I think it's just to line it up.
Try soaking it in oil or preferably diesel

WD40 is crap, you need diesel or graphite penetrating oil.
