I fancy the top speed bit .. my bike is not a sprinter ... I would have to build a specific gearbox for sprinting.

The event has a two lane 1/4 mile drag strip which will record the time taken to cover the 1/4 mile and the terminal speed at the end of the 1/4 mile distance. There will also be an 1/2 mile strip to record your ultimate top speed. Most, if not all scooters should be at maximum speed by the time they reach the 1/2 mile mark. Many tuned scooters can run 90mph on the road with a road setup, here's the perfect opportunity to change the gearing and see if you can achieve 100mph. You have a whole 1/2 mile to yourself with no corners to negotiate (or for the law to hide around) and the only ticket you will receive is a ticket to prove just how fast your scooter is. And furthermore, the fastest in each class will take home a trophy. You can follow the lead up to the event in real-time at www.facebook.com/100mphscooter or visit us at www.100mphscooter.com Cheers Pete

I cant see the flyer either. The top speed run sounds interesting. My 50 special is crap off the line but livens up a bit as it gets going.

Was flicking through scootering, thought I read bikes were limited to 98db. Took the PTS1 into work yesterday and did a noise test. 117db Wouldn't take it up the strip,(coz its shite),but I must noise test the Pitone on the Armandos one day

I'm passing the test so has been a while since attention paid to but as I understand - 4000, 45 degree angle 1 metre away from pipe. If you're using a decibel meter, there are 2 settings, I don't recall which is the correct one, A or C I think. I reduced 5 db by wrapping the pipe if thats any help.
