Im going to buy a pinasco 75cc kit for my PK 50 auto, they say i can use the standard head with the kit because of the formed piston dome (sounds dodgey) plus i will have to change the timing to 18 degrees. Anyone agree or disagree? im not to happy about playing with the timing, any1 know what the standard setting is??

Either buy the Pinasco head or have yours machined (properly) to suit.
Machining should come in slightly cheaper.
Talk to Al at Diablo Moto as he get Harry Barlow (Pro Porting) to do his "tech" stuff.
No idea on the timing but I can search.

do you know anyone with a timing strobe and degree wheel?? it'll be too retarded (que juvinile jokes for the pinasco, and it'll preignite/pink/detonate which, as has already been said, will either sieze you, or burn a hole in your piston

Yeah just as i thought. I just hoped that maybe the standard timing was not far off 18 and some1 out there had managed to run the kit without changing the timing. I,ve just bought a strobe because iv just bought a polini 210 for my P2. Thoe it looks a lot trickier to do the timming on the automatica than my good old P2. Any1 done it before?

Well i cant find out what the standard timing is anywhere I recon il just turn it back a couple of mil and risk it, its p%ยค&ing me off now. Its for the missus anyway so if it blows up she can buy a PX 80, wich is number 9 on the top ten list of spastic vespas

Just got word from germany that the standard timing is 17 and the kit runs ok without change so all this for nothing. I hope this has been as much fun for all as it was for me
