Im still shaking like a shite-ing DOG.................... F**K ME, its fast........ not that i was mind............. i was riding my Gilera Runner, so i obviously wont elaborate too much on here, but lets just say one of the first Runners to LAP ME on the circuit was the red Red Runner in STICKYS helmet camera video that couldnt live with the Underdog Quatrini..... you know when your out on the road on your scoot and a fast motorcycle shoots past without warning, you jump out of your skin dont you.. (and say "you bastard" inside your helmet)..... Well there i am going round in my first practice when after about 3 laps the 3 FALC powered small frames of John Woods, Tony and Adspeed SHOOT past me lapping me....... (fast motorcycle stylee, but giving me loads of room).... it was at that point i thought what the fuck am i doing here, on the very next lap Bikegrim (Gareth`s) Malossi powered 50 spesh passed me on the long straight... i was flat out on a 180cc auto and he was pulling away from me, i thought ive got two good disc brakes on this thing i`ll make ground on him at the next corner, WRONG he didnt seem to brake, even when i was bolt upright and hard on both brakes.............. i wont ever make a good racer, i was too chuffed seeing Smallframe`s pass me... ;D ;D ( which is what i obviously intend to be on when ready)............ this "Green Hornet" thing pulled up beside me in the holding area, the rider said " Follow me around steady for a couple of laps in pratice i will show you the racing line"................... yeah right..... after the first straight i would of needed binoculars in my helmet to see the lines. just a green dot at the other side of the track be the time i was finaly moving... ;D ;D ;D ;D for any of you that are interested i finished second to last in my first race, and last in my second race, but with the crashers, blow ups and retirements i sought of finished " 15 out of 22" and then " 16 out of 22 "... so quite happy really on the day my fastest lap was 2 seconds slower than the slowest 205cc lammy. so not to bad on a scooter i went to work on twice last week....... some racers chuckled as i undid my number plate in the pits............ if youve never been to a race meet you should, its a top day out.. many thanks to the forum member/ racers for the help... and an even BIGGER thanks to the forum members spectating on the day for the encouragement.... Shaggy & Dad , Russ, and Sticky, you all made a nervous day a little easier
