You botchers, bunglers, dabblers, tinkerer*. Thats a clear case for the welder - if rust appaers on the outside in this area there is surely a lot more inside - lads this is the backbone of your vespa, it hasnt got a bloody drainpipeframe! *thats what my dictionary gives - further suggestions ;D

Had a welder spend a whole day on the VNB the first time i built it, paying 1/3 of a months salary at the time (i was 17). I don't regret a second.

Just a small update.
Had it running today. Finally found my Flywheel puller.Then took a quick look at the stator, but it looked OK, so i swapped it for the one of my 50 Special. Started 4th kick and runs good.
Anyone know how to troubleshoot a bad PK stator? I need to have my backup scoot running too...
