New motor mounts from Clauss Studios. Softer durometer than the old ones. The rear one is a 3 piece affair. Pretty impressed with that. Went in nice & easy.

Intresting.
I presume the rubber is split on the rear shock mount Paddy?

Yep - two halves with shoulders that hang over & tube goes through the middle. They didn't show that on their page... www.claussstudios.com/id1.htmlYes - I'm still cleaning up those cases. ;D I've tried the older, stiffer ones on other people's bikes. Couldn't help myself & had to try the new mounts out.

I've got to get me some of those, if I use my 50s case instead of the PK one...

That must be a new rear style, I have not seen that one before and I have used Clauss mounts for years...

I had a set of the earlier ones, and it didn't last for long. Quite frankly I was less than impressed that making the things fuel resistant appeared to have been rather low on the list.

The problem I had the bonding between the mount and the tube quickly failed as you would guess with a basically solid mount.. It would be better to just let it float as long as the tube is retained so the motor cant move side to side. Claus needs a type of 'stop' to prevent this.
