How much? I think it was Amazombi who was saying that these were possibley being made with extra clearance for more exotic clutches? I think anyway, I forget which thread that was on.

The standard XL II has a bearing too.
From what I understand the outside is like the XL II. That means you will have to use a PK brake backplate and PK hub, or you'll have to grind and old style backplate. I'm also not sure they actually left enough room in there for the exotic clutches, apparently there's supposed to be enough meat to machine them to fit though.

I think im going to bite the bullet and buy one. I just hope its quality. cant see S.I.P putting their name to a product that isnt well tested and top quality..... does an XL2 cover make for such a good improvement then... is it just down to the "toothed" rack and pinion pivot and bush.... i wonder why the LAMMY brigade havent done something similar on a GP type side casing to lighten up a heavy clutch....

It is nice but after you bought all the bits that go with it (arm, plunger etc...), we're talking about over a 100 quid!

totally stupid question maybe, but why the hell wouldnt the clutch cover come as a complete bolt on package........ ? surely they wont sell very many covers without the internals at all... i bet virtually every one sold is for a modified scoot rather than just a replacement on a standard XL2....... the casting looks good in the pic, but does seem a little expensive to me if your not getting the full thing for your money

Just bought one, along with all the accompanying bits (plunger, lever, spring) it appears to be a really nice piece of kit but I haven't fitted it yet. It's being reserved for a future race engine project to go with the Newfren 4 carbon plate 12 spring XL2 clutch.

Installed one on my track bike this year. 8 stiff spring DRT 5 plate clutch pulls like a marginally stiff stock cosa clutch. 2 fingers. What a world. If only I had previously known it could be this easy... For real. Thanks fellas. Too bad they never produced those for the bikes they brought over here. ;D ;D

Mine isn't billet - but it IS black. There was a bit of clearancing work to be done on the inside to get my clutch to fit... The end product is worth it to me.
