I'm not getting into fixies; you can't convince me it'll be safe riding in the sort of traffic I have to endure. That said, I do like the idea and simplicity of them, so maybe in the future... The idea is to use it as a 6 speed, decide on a ratio & then fit a single freewheel. Aryton looks a lot better following a clean and removal of useless/inappropriate bits. I even got a nice stem given from somebody on the Cycle Chat forum (I love forums, me)! I'm off to the Cycle Promotions Manchester sale on the 19th to try & pick up tyres, bars & a single chainset. Then on the night I'm off to watch The Go! Team - that should be a good day!

Well, it's finished! Using it for work now, 100 miles a week. Final bill was £116 which includes the original tenner. Bottom bracket is shit, an RPM cartridge one which was on offer at £4.98, but other than that it's great! I wish I had the money and time to get the ETS sorted as quickly...
