Just started cycling to work. It's taken me a few weeks to get my ancient Orange Clockwork adapted for the ride: I'm at work having just done the first 17.5 mile mainly downhill run. Not looking forward to the return journey - 892ft of ascent + traffic!

...cyclo x shifters, pace forks, synchro seatpost(?) oooh, I do like orange bikes, ...I have a orange sub 5. Used to work with Dan Cook ( ex orange rider from sheffield) training mountainbike leaders, still have a passion for those bikes

Nice. www.flickr.com/photos/mawis_bikes/4931320229/Mine. New fangled shite. Have a few older ones which sort of cover development of the last 25 years. This one here is a one of the first Titanium frames I ever built. Don't think I like the fork though.

Oddly enough I have a Breezer. (as old school as they come) Fully rigid with Kona P2 straight blade forks, climbs hills like they are flat. Seriously LOVE pace gear it really is the mutts nuts. And Hope stuff. Awesome.

I imagine it's a fixed wheel at the rear, so you slow down by not pedalling.
Alternatively it could be a "pedal-back" brake

Ha ha I wondered how long I'd get away with it before I got the abuse I deserved ;D When it comes to push rods I love single speeds & fixies. I had a fantastic Kona singlespeed which got stolen, I still don't think I've got over it. It was a Humuhumunukunukuapua'a (honestly - I'm not making it up!)
