With the wheel off that's what happened next: The throttle tube got rammed into the handlebar and I couldn't turn it anymore to go on. Lesson learned, now I use an external short throttle handle. Closing the helmet is not necessary for us and I needed a lot of fresh air... Thanks for the flowers about the website.

ooouch Marco... very big of you to put the pictures up for us to see.. quote] None of the racers seem to be precious about their tumbles. Personally no-one who takes a bike out on the track has anything to prove as far as I'm concerned.

I heard an interview from a MotoGP team leader that if a driver that doesn't fall off the bike within 3 race events without winning them they question his motivation. I fall off 10-20 times a season depending on how often it rains... ;D but that is much more usual on go kart tracks as it is easier to get to the grip limit and try to control that. And how could i detain these nice pictures.
The bike is a V50 special with a plastic nose. This was in 2009 and I used a 54mil stroke M1R with an LTH Road. This year i used a 57x54 Falc but the ring pin broke in Cadwell, so I had full floating rings that damaged the plating. So next year i will go for a 60x53 Falc (150cc limit here).

It all depends on the dates. First in line is the ESC season, those dates are all nearly fixed already.
So if it does not clash with the ESC or any other important German rallies I would like to do at least one Race in the UK. Maybe one before our season starts or Cadwell again after the season together with Stoffi.
Let's see, I don't plan too long beforehand. Italy is also an option for me as they have a very hard smallframe competition there.
Maybe one of you guys should come over here. I personally can recommend the French race in early June as you can train any day you arrive earlier. It has also ESC status this year for first time which means that also the competitive ESC drivers will go there.

Any chance someone in the know could post up all the race dates as a sticky?
We could have UK, Europe, US & Australian (and any I've missed)
Just be good to have them all in one place

It's better. It's a proper scooter rally with evening does on site, and it's action packed racing on a tight circuit ideally suited for scooters, loads if battles for positions and everything you want as a spectator. Definitely worth every single mile however far you have to travel.

Well my opinion is subjektive as it is my club that organizes the Run&Race but as Mathias says compared to all the other races it is also a full rally event over the whole weekend so it has a fantastic atmosphere on the race day.
The track is really twisty compared to UK tracks but it is the biggest scooter race in the world with 110-120 riders in 10 different classes. So if you like competition it is the place to go as all the professionals from the continent meet up there.
(Be aware all races in Europe are on Saturdays)

The date is 24th-26th June 2011
Easy explanation: It is always on the weekend after the Ascension Day which is a bank holiday in Germany. So it is easier for us to organize the Rally.
Many Rallies in Germany are based around bank holidays which are mostly related to religious events. So the dates are always different but always in the same order.
