as some of you may know Marco is helping me with some parts this year..he has some exciting innovations coming up. I thought I'd show you fellas what he is up to and what he used on his smallframe whilst beating my time around the ring ;D firstly the new clutch.. designed by marco. using cr80 plates. Its in proto stage and so far it is working fine.. I'm hoping to test the next one towards the end of the year if I continue to struggle with mine. To see more go LTH proto clutchNow the esc lads do pretty good round the slower kart tracks and marco did very well round the ring as well with its twisty turns.. the suspension he used was not the usual Rs24s but Stage 6 stuff.. these shocks are 'high-end' with seperate rebound and compression damping. Look good too.. they were fitted to test and marco tells me proper barcketry is being made up to fit the front one. www.lambretta-teile.de/Kupplung-komplett-Hartz-4-Vespa-V50-PV-PK-XL2[/img] The new bracket design-this will move the shock in and even under the mudguard as per norm. Rear Lever For prices check the LTH site

Yes I like the shocks a lot, the bracket was something that caught my eye for the rear to the engine just to give that little extra clearance for exhaust, not keen on the brake lever tho. Clutch looks the dogs bollocks too ;D

I think the lever is very neat... i wouldnt put one on my ss but if you look at it ..it has a fold up function if you hit the floor... replaceabel ball end and span adjustment..

Hmmm... now you've actually pointed the levers good points out I quite agree to the actual 'lever' being a very functional piece of kit especially for racing but the rest of it just looks out of place for a standard road scoot and a bit messy with the bracketry for the resevoir, at least the PX style lever nearly matches the clutch side tho I like the replaceable levers end, had'nt spotted that

i love looking at new and well engineered scooter parts, stuff looks very technical nowadays... front shock COOOL..... rear shock...... whats to stop the mounting bracket sliping downwards.. maybe if it was attached to one of the M7 casing bolts aswell. or is that not needed......?? good stuff all the same

not sure what you mean mate.. it does the same job as normal as far as i can see except its been moved out to get a nicer curve in the manifold.. wouldnt fit my bike like that i dont think but may be worth getting one to see whats what.

Josh Brown on his ZIPsp was testing those shocks but they went back to RS24s not as good by all accounts, look good though, maybe better on the Vespas?

mmm..I think Josh tested the version with single compression/rebound on his not the seperate ones like these. You must also remember that Josh is no longer sponsored by Stage 6 but their rival which may be another reason for him not to use them.. Another point is that josh is light.. I am a lot heavier and so is Marco.. also our Vespas are heavier and have a shorter swingarm. A lot to think about. Marco has them working. His bike was much smoother than mine in the turns. Some of this is him, some of it the weight of him over me and some of it must be the shocks. Well thats what I think anyway.. I'd love to test em..

I think Josh had some shocks this year from Polini but ditched them in favour of Rs24s anyway.

Interesting mate.. I'll ask darryl , see what he thinks. Did you have rs24s on yours?

Yes I also ran RS24s, Darryl has had some success with changing the rear, even using a BiTubo but nothing could match the RS24 front.

"The new bracket design-this will move the shock in and even under the mudguard as per norm." OK so it will fit the fender better, but will the increased angle of the shock relative to vertical movment of the hub mean that the top of the shock will be too far off centre when its compression increases? And there fore not operate effectively? i hope so cause i went to a whole lot of trouble to keep my shock in line with the hub movement!

no... I've seen the graphics for the redesign... the problem is the reservoir hits the fork.. what I think marco will do is redesign the hub unit or shock mount to enable the damper to 'twist' slightly so the reservoir clears the fork.. then you can mount the damper in its correct position. I think we should get stage 6 to start making bespoke shocks for the pk fork. The market is huge... as it will fit the px's (with easy mod) too, Worldwide they would sell loads.
