;D ;D It's true - I broke a jet off in the carb I intended to use the day before at practice. New carb installed on the fly = I wasn't 100% sure of the new setup, so I mixed a lil' rich to be safe.

really good stuff mate.. i'm well impressed. you can ride that thing well.. do you use the bars to counter steer the thing?

;)Thanks fellas. Glad you approve. Counter steering... The smaller bars (& dummy tank) - it's crazy - I wasn't too sure about them at first as I felt as though the larger bars would have given me better stability through the turns... Meh. I feel like counter steering doesn't happen as much as a conscious thing. It's more like I'm coaching/holding the bike where I want it to go with my shoulders & torso (& trying not to soil my leathers when the rear end gets loose in the corners). A couple quick shots from Saturday's practice:

ok mate.. reason I ask is because you, like the esc riders on the tight twistys put your knee down and your foot sideways.. I tend to use my inside foot to load the bike and to be able to flick it side to side with the balls ond toes on my feet. On the higher speed corners in uk I counter steer 'consciously' to turn. I felt it might hurt your feet with your foot like that to help turn the bike to you must be turning the bars?

Good point Tony. I did notice this time around that - especially in the higher speed longer turns - I've got my inside foot almost perpendicular against the side of the floorboard; and using the heal/ball of my foot to push against/get my weight where I want it/aim the bike(& try not to fall off of it ;D). But yes - in the small, sharp quick ones, I'm still leaving the foot sideways. I think it's part of still getting comfortable with the whole getting that far off the bike mental thing. Using the foot almost as a curb feeler... For example: versus Or am I interpreting the description incorrectly? I do greatly appreciate the insight/advice.

;DRight. Countersteering/knee down/foot sideways... I guess it was just the way I was shown to do it. When I had larger bars on the bike I was much more aware of the pressure I was putting on the inside side of the bars when I was cornering (countersteering). With the smaller bars... I haven't even noticed.
