Just found this in the loft! In Hull, just turned 18, year ban about to end, buy 2x Lambrettas plus a garage load of spares for £200. Cut down priceless (not then, obviously) Innocenti GP150, fits a 'Wildcat tuned' 200 bought off some lad, 30mm Dell'Orto & Fresco exhaust, gets it running after a couple of hours bumping it up & down the street, takes it off to the local MoT place, bulb horn but no lights, expecting them to MoT it as a 125... Eventually get home, demoralised after flat refusal. Buy a PX125 a few weeks later & sells all the Lamby stuff for £200. And that was as close as I got to actually getting a usable Lambretta on the road! Did 10,000 miles on the PX that year. Note copper plating, front brake cable about 3 ft too long, Italian combats, northern soul sweatshirt, Adidas Sambas & my sister's cast off Top Tek Apache helmet (no visor).
