Nice one Rog. Are you planning to restore her to her former glory? I'm going to fully rebuild it, I've not decided yet if I'm going to do it as a full on original restoration, it may end up painted a different colour and with saddle seats instead of the big Douglas dual seat, but hopefully everything will be "as new" when I've finished it. Thanks for the support guys! Rog

Hey, interesting to see! I have just finished a 92L2. I built it over the summer. and have opted for a single seat, rear carrier and some period accessories! However have got a braacket made up to it will be able to accomodate for a T5 engine. it fits fine and have just the thing started! Looks the bollocks , had the engine painted the same colour as the scooter. I will try and stick some pictures up. Oh just so you know i am 19. Let me know if you need any parts or pointers. Oh and the Veteren Vespa club is a great source of knowledge, especially a guy called Bill Drake. SS

Wow, that looks freakin' amazing!
Only 19 too, fair play buddy, I'm still a relative youngster at 27 compared to most of the oldies in the scooter scene. ;D
That bracket looks tidy too.
Cheers, Rog

Hi scottsprint, where did you get hold of the bracket for the T5 engine, did you buy it or make it yourself. I'm just about to start a similar project and want to slip in a T5 or P2 engine. Thanks

got it made at an enginering company. you can buy them i think from sip though.
You have to extend the rear shoc k i found , or you have to cut into the body as the carb hits..

Thanks very much, I'll have a look on SIP, what shock did you use? Liking the look of yours, good work.

why thank you good sir! It will be my prode and joy once it is on the road.
The shock is a standard chrome T5 shock, I think a P2 would work better on reflection as the carb box i think is lower. I am running mine with to extensions on the top of the shock, as well as no lid on the carb. Perfectly fine to run though, am going to try and custom a lid for it.
