Yep thats Fast Eddie.. the following year they found a tank for that chassis..looks weird without it. He was my hero.. awesome rider. I remember watching him race Norrie at Pembrey on a v90 chassis. He may even of beat him. The following year he raced a 90ss in group 2 and then later he did grp2 and grp3. Eddie was the lad that liked a drink the night before a race.. he was in out b+b absolutely hammered. Next day at 3 sisters he was winning, threw up in his lid and still won the race ;D

Easy mate... thats Lydden! The old Tea Bus is in the background! Those tyres were Inoue's. Norrie rated them. But a year or so the Dunlop TT60gp came out and then all of a sudden we had a real race tyre. It was profiled like a V so you actually had more tyre in contact when leaned over. Todays dunlops are round profile tho. They changed the design.

Btw Norrie lent me Lc2 or 3 at pembrey to finish my newcomers as my bike had failed. You had to do 6 or 8 'races' before getting your license back then. Norrie offered me this amazing bike when he saw me looking sad. I rode it of course... it shifted!

Ha.. its called the devils elbow that corner. I think with the arrival of the falc and quattrini etc smallframe tuning has finally got ultra modern technology that wasnt around back then. I know my own motors from that era would not have done much today. Its probably unfair to compare really but I suppose its interesting as his machines were so advanced.

good old days or what tony..... more advanced and technical now maybe.. but scooter ONLY race meetings were mint for spectators this 3 sisters meet was particularly well attended because the national rally on the same weekend was cancelled at the last minute, so loads of scooterists came with tents and BEER....
