nice pics mate i love looking at photos from back in the day. its good to see some of the bashed up old vans and cars with trailers that looked like they wouldn't even make the journey back home.. ;D its also funny to see some old styleee racing scooter tyre - brakes - and suspension set ups.. Ive got sooo many photos from rallies over the years, will try to get some of the appropriate smallie ones up on here for all to see...

It was the Zeta 140 reverse kit which just happened to nip up down the back straight at this meet! It was ok after that. All courtesy of Rafferty Newman.
As for the bashed up vans...ours was the blue transit in the background, brand new at the time. We even had a decent nights sleep in it!

NO OFFENCE intended regarding the team vans fella`s , but i see no one is owning up to the white tranny in the middle ;D maybe the leeds central bunch?? carlisle trailer rental one... mickeck lot??? always used to amuse me watching race scoots being drained of their heavily 2-stroke oiled fuel, and then it was poured into what ever van or car & trailer combo was taking them home after the meeting... ;D i dont actually remember seeing many p-ranges racing... were they in group 4.?? i do remember a rally 200 red and yellow (malossi210) i think..would that be group 6.. if so surely no match for the ts1 brigade..

The P2 was a group 4 and the T5 was group 3. The T5 belonged to Alan Edbroke who ended up buying mine from me. He sadly died a few years ago in a scooter related accident. I fondly recall him grinding his engine cases lap after lap on a fast right hander at Pembrey. Impressive stuff. Top man

yes that is sad to hear about your mate... the personals section of scootering magazine makes for some sad reading nowadays... photos often bring back top memories tho.. keep them coming.

Just noticed that top left of this pic was my best mate Alan Jones working on his group 5 Lambretta. He was part of the Kegra (SERT) team.

That old red rally was a fast machine,i borrowed that in 94 and 95 and won fastest vespa at York dragway with a 15.6/80mph
