Hi all, Maybe someone can help me as you are all more experienced than me. I have a this problem - I have ET3 head and DR 130 kit. Obviously they aren't meant for each other but I was wondering about milling the head to 57mm bore instead of 55mm. But I don't know how exactly to approach this problem. Do I mill little by little and check volume for desired compression (i.e. 10:1).
Thanks for any advice, Peter

It's faily easy to chamfer the edges to take it out to the right size but a little harder to get the correct compression and volume.*I'd better leave that for one of the more technically minded members to go over it for you. ;D*
I've never used a DR apart from a 102 on the PK 20 years ago but I know they're a milder tune than a Polini so I doubt that the compression will need to be particulary high on them.
Also, did you get the kit 2nd hand as it should have had a head included.

Yeah, I got it for next to nothing 'cos it was without head. But I have spare one and now I'm wondering about coupling them together. Compression rate doesn't have to be exact just in range of 10:1 to 10,5:1.

It shouldn't be that hard to copy your other one then.

Spare one I meant ET3 spare. Other wise it would be straight on job . I guess I'll just go along and see what happens
