love the vid ,, hate the music,, badly drawn boy for fuck sake, i remember watching coranation street years ago when that prick martin platt used to be on it and he was always going on about badly drawn boy ;D i think they were trying to make him a bit hip ;D ;D ;D , does anybody actually like badly drawn boy .. come on now i enjoy your vids but its torcher listening to that music ;D ..... lets hear a screeming 2 stroke only please ;D ;D what track is that aswell See you let yourself down there when you admit to watching soaps. The reason for the mellow music is not that it's what I necessarily like or listen to, but that I've watched a lot of bike vids and you need something that contrasts with the images IMHO. The original crew Fast Bikes vids are good examples, as are the ones being done for the Scooter Racing now by Adrenalin etc. If you play something pacey (dance/Northern etc) then the video actually looks slower. I just fancied a change from the raw noise, but this one should keep you happy

Good videos sticky, so as you pissed through the field like a bullet thru bin ladens burka was there any quick smallies out there? Or other scoots? There was a French race Quattrini bought on a trailer but to be honest there were Brit/Belgian road Lammies that were quicker round the track. Mine with race tyres was really a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but 2 years ago they gave the trophy to a French racer with TS1 special bought in a van so I had to make sure I had enough in hand to beat that if it turned up again. Very nice vids. How does your ss go compared to other tuned scoots, ts1´s and others? Im interested cause my engine is pretty much like yours but I havent been riding with any other fast scoots yet. My mate will have his ts1 on the road shortly and would be nice to be faster then him. ;D

now THATS what i call a soundtrack ;D what happend at 3.54 did you run over a worm or was it just over enthusiasm I think that was my second flying lap and I messed up the entry to that corner. When I realised I wasn't going to make the exit on the tarmac I decided that the best option was to stand the scooter upright and brake - hence the bit of grasstracking. I knew that patch of grass was ok to ride on because I've been over it before on previous years ;D

Someone on youtube named 'lamysx' going around a race track in France: Subtext says they're on a 150 Falc. I like hearing the engine noise. I think it gives you an idea of the rpm range that a lot of these motors are doing their best work at.

A reminder to use your mirrors and indicators.... or if you're on a V range look over your shoulder and wave your arm frantically!

A reminder to use your mirrors and indicators.... or if you're on a V range look over your shoulder and wave your arm frantically! Living in a country where it's illegal to overtake on the inside would also help.. And what exactly is going on in the beginning of the video? They're towing cars in the middle lanes, while cars are passing them in the outside lanes seems ridiculous.

one word WOWhow much would one of them beautys cost I dunno but a 5-speed box would be brilliant! It'd allow a narrower powerband and more BHP to be useable...

why not a 6 speed?

Its tight with a 4 speed , i'd imagine 5 cogs are going to be thinner which could be bad. so theres no way ! a 6 would work

I don't know. I think four speeds are quite enough. The only real "problem" is the somewhat short first. DRT helps to sort that though. An Aprillia RS125 does about a ton in fourth gear. I personally think a ton is quite enough for a smallie, very few engines will actually make near enough power to get there anyway. So in effect most powerfull roadgoing 125s may have a six speed box, but at the sort of speed a smally will likely be able to achieve they have only used the same number of speeds as a smally. It's quite possible to get powerbands wide enough to allow for even relaxed riding on a powerfull smally. No real need to weaken what was a weak gearbox to start with even further.

Afternoon Forum
If you are looking for dyno facilities in the south of the country, then may I recommend Shiny Red Tuning based in Wood chester which is just outside Stroud in Glos.
Gary who runs the business ran the dyno at the IOW last year and has made his name in tuning "Runners" current sprint scooter in the road class of Straight liners is a genuine 25BHP and best standing quarter mile is 13.45.
Top man full of passion for classic scooters and knows his onions on the dyno.
Had a few problems with the Mikuni and ignition and after a few hours of fault finding the 130cc "cast iron Polini" kicked out her best of of 14.98 BHP.
Cast iron, reed off the cases, 24mm Mikuni flat side, JL down & forward, lets just say for the spec of motor I am a happy bunny.
Gary is well worth trying out for dyno analysis work.
His number is 01453 298212.
Happy Daz.
